San Diego Wedding Planners – Lift Consulting
Amy, the owner of Lift Consulting is one of the first Wedding and Event Coordinators we got to meet in person since moving to San Diego. She has a true heart of gold. We admire how genuine and caring she is for both people in the industry and for her clients. One business trait that really stood out to us was how professional Amy is. She has an incredibly quick response time via email, like lightening fast. She came into our studio for her professional headshot and we enjoyed black coffee and fresh cinnamon cake together. We are truly thankful for meeting Amy and she has introduced us to some very good communities for creatives like Creative Mornings. Check out the interview we did with Amy below.
Business Name: Lift Consulting
When did Lift Consulting begin?: December 2015
How many planners are part of Lift Consulting?: There are three Lift Coordinators in my company.
How many weddings do you plan per year?: Typically, we try to strive for 1 per month. This year Lift Consulting picked up a fun new contract with an event space in Escondido and we are trying to push for 1 – 2 weddings per week!
What services do you provide?: We provide all levels of coordination for couples getting married – from full-service coordination to day-of weddings. We also provide event planning and event management for companies and individuals. We've worked on everything from galas, silent auctions, company appreciation events, birthday parties, and the list goes on and on!
What is your most popular service?: Our most popular service would be our 'Bells&Whistles Package' (starting at $2,500), closely followed by our On-Site Management Package (starting at $20 per hour). Our B&W Package offers couples the opportunity to be a bit more hands-off in their wedding planning process while their Lift Coordinator takes care of the smaller details leading up to their big day. Our On-Site Management Package can be used by either couples or companies to ensure that any event runs smoothly while their Lift Coordinator is on-site to assist clients in any event needs.
Do you focus soley on SoCal or destination weddings also?: As of right now we are SoCal based, but destination weddings are definitely something we are interested in!
What is the most extravagant wedding you planned?: At the end of 2016 I worked with an excellent team styling a wedding on a farm in South San Diego near the border. All of the vendors did an amazing job creating such rustic country glamour in such a remote location!
Tell us about any awards or achievements that you're most proud of: I am most proud of my team. Every time I add another coordinator to my team it feels like such a great accomplishment and another big step forward for Lift Consulting.
Share the link of the wedding you are most proud of and why?: Click here to view the link. Amanda and Rich asked me to be their coordinator the week before their wedding, when they found out their venue did not have an on-site coordinator. Their wedding was my first wedding under the Lift Consulting brand (my own company!) and will forever have a special place in my heart.
What are 3 tips for couples getting married?:
Consider hiring a wedding planner! Weddings are extremely stressful, and hiring a professional to handle some of the harder details will take a lot of the pressure off you during such an exciting time.
Make a list of your must-haves or your most important items/vendors/traditions to include. What is important to you might not be important to the next couple, so make sure to vocalize what you want to see as a part of your special day.
Remember why you are there! It is easy to get caught up in the planning process, but don't forget the real reason why you are getting married is because you are with the person you love. Take time to enjoy each other throughout the process!
