Nicole’s and Dean’s lavish Lincoln Park engagement session:
It all started with a facebook message Dean had sent to Nicole. They were aquaintances but hadn’t seen each other in a few years. Nicole responded to his message and shortly after they had their first date. Four year’s later they will be getting married this October at the Odyssey Country Club.
Durring their engagement session they were having so much fun together and we just had to know what Dean’s favorite trait was about Nicole so we asked and here is what we got: “I would have to say that my favorite trait in Nicole would be her ability to be so spontaneous. If it wasn’t for that we most likely wouldn’t be where we are today. When we first met each other Nicole was always in a kind of “safe zone” being comfortable and not taking any risks. I always loved this about her because everything was always new and an adventure. I for some reason always had an ability to make her come out of her shell and experience different things. Whether it’s a planned vacation or a shotgun weekend escape, our lives together have never been boring and always… yes, spontaneous! Without her giving us a chance to see what life is like together we never would have known that there is never a dull moment between us. The excitement that I get from being with her, no matter what we are doing or where we are, never second guesses my decision that I have found the one person that I can’t spend my life without.”
Their proposal was also filled with such excitment: “The day I proposed to Nicole was on a perfect 4th of July evening with friends and family from out of town all around to celebrate. We had a great day barbequing and roasting a lamb (Greek style!) And after we got done preparing the lamb I told Nicole that we “had to talk”. She was very concerned and thought I was all upset because no one was eating the lamb! We took a walk to get away from everyone and I told her I wanted to talk about the previous night. The night before I told her it would still be a while before we got engaged but that I was trying my hardest to make it happen of us. I knew she was disappointed but she still said she understood and that it was ok. I told her that last night I wasn’t completely truthful and that she wasn’t going to have to wait any longer. What came after that was a blur of I love you’s and can’t live without you but before you know it I was down on one knee opening a box asking her to be my wife! I can honestly say that I knew she was surprised and was able to get one by her. I also had my family parked down the street waiting for me to pop the question and once they got the confirmation it was a night filled with cigars and champagne! I actually brought with me that night a cigar that Nicole bought me 2 years prior and told her that I wasn’t going to have it until we got engaged. It was one of the best tasting cigars I have ever had and can definitely say it was worth the wait!”
