Chicago Spring Engagement Photos
First off, we have to give a major applaud to Joanna and Matt for coming to their engagement session with killer outfits. They both have such a great sense of humor and were fun to photograph. Their engagement session took place at the Chicago Cultural Center, Millennium Park and the Art Institute. On the day of their Chicago spring engagement photos also turned out to be the day of the Chicago Marathon Shamrock Shuffle. It was a true adventure. Imagine a very cute eight-month pregnant baby mama trying to cross the street and running along side the runners with photography gear. Despite some adventures, we were able to find some peace and quiet so that Joanna and Matt could relax and enjoy each other.
We always love hearing our couple's stories and the following story is from Joanna's point of view!
"We met 10 years ago. Matt was (still is) good friends with my brother. One day he came to pick up my brother and I was leaving my house to meet with my friends. We got briefly introduced to each other by my brother. After that we were supposed to hang out later on but plans changed and that didn't work. Somehow Matt got my phone number from my brother, We began talking for long hours through text that first night. It was so crazy how we had so much to talk about after just being introduced to each other and seeing each other for brief couple of minutes. The next day we went out on a date. After that, it's all history!
We both love to travel and explore new places. We like to be outside a lot. Matt loves shooting guns and hunting. In his free time, he enjoys himself a good cigar, whiskey and some good reading material. We both love good food, so a lot of times we are exploring new places with interesting food. Matt is usually the one encouraging me to try different and unusual food. I really enjoy crafts, books and DIY projects. In my free time I like to be outside, read books, or attend some fun painting classes.
We are getting married in Madonna Della Strada Chapel. We both fell in love with that place. It's right on the lake and it has this romantic feel to it. For our venue we picked River Roast. We wanted something a little bit different than a traditional wedding venue. Our venue is right on the river with breathtaking views!"
We hope you enjoy looking at Joanna's and Matt's Chicago spring engagement photos as much as we did photographing them – Marcin and Magdalena.
